Bob George
Forward deployed executive.
About
Business executive that still loves time at the keyboard.
In 25 years, I’ve been a research scientist using big data and data science to study genomics, a C++ / Java / .NET / HTML / CSS / JavaScript / XML / and more engineer, an architect, an ML expert, an AI innovator, a VP, a CTO, a founder, and an executive consultant. These days I lead large organizations to success in the genAI era.
I’m also a husband, father, science & technology enthusiast, and musician.
What I’m into
-
KDE & the Linux desktop
I’m a long-time Linux enthusiast with a particular love for KDE.
-
Local-first AI
I’ve been working with AI for 20 years, and even though we’re still investing greatly in datacenters for large online AI systems, AI’s ultimate destination will be in every device — connected or not — running locally.
-
Scheme & Racket
I love programming languages and language features. I especially love languages with proper tail recursion and first-class continuations — in particular, Scheme and its successor, Racket.
-
Music
I play most instruments, but these days I just keep a guitar in every room of the house — mostly blues and jazz on acoustic.
-
Brewing & beer
I keep a list of favorite beers, plus my own recipes. (list coming soon)
-
Travel
A running list of favorite cities and countries to visit. (list coming soon)
